  • How much do you love your sibling?

Sometimes I have to say that I love my job.  Despite all the computer problems, the business woes and all the rest of the stuff that comes with owning a business, there are times that I just have to say I love what I do.

These images are from a session just this past week of recently turned 3 year old David with his one week old premature sister Christina. These photographs just scream joy about a little boy happy to have a sister.  It is never to late to have photographs taken of your children no matter what age.

Thank you little David.  For realizing how important these photographs are.

  • TWO SPOTS LEFT!

WOW!  The digital beginner's class has two spots left!  What a great response.  The spots are first come/first serve basis.  So, if you are interested, drop a check in the mail asap!
We had a ton of calls along with a ton of questions.   That is why we have to say that we will only allow those in who are paid in advance.  We want the class size to be small so that we can answer all of your questions.
Questions?  Call the studio at 215 321 3600!!

Last week we had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Afton Elementary's Father/Daughter Dance. The theme was "Safari" which was so much fun.  Seeing dads dressed up in versions of "Indiana Jones" was nothing short of great fun.  The girls also took the safari theme to heart and wore some great outfits.  It is great to see dad's spend some quality time with their daughters.

In two weeks we will be doing a "Family Portrait Day" for the entire Council Rock School District Facility!  The proceeds of this fundraiser will benefit the Council Rock Education Foundation.  A great opportunity for the teachers and other staff members to get their family portrait taken before summer vacation!

Our newsletter went out both through the internet and hard copies as well for those folks who do not have an valid email address on file with us.  If you received a hard copy newsletter and would love to be a part of our frequent internet newsletters, please email the studio at:

Take care and as always, stay in touch!

    Here is the scoop!

Three Monday classes from 6:30 to 8:30

    Cost:  $125 check only

    Week one:

  • The last one... hopefully!

    Hi Friends!

One more snow!  I knew it! This has got to be it!  This was more like an ice storm rather than a snow storm.  My grandfather used to call this the "onion snow".  Frankly, I haven't seen the "onion" grass come up yet!

I just stopped in the office today to do some much needed computer work.  The Chihuahuas have a love/ hate relationship with the snow.  Dinkers (the female) loves being outside no matter what the temp is.  She weighs 9 pounds.  Zaida, the 5 pounder, absolutely hates this cold weather.   I really think it has to do with the fact the the little guy is freezin and the bigger Chihuahua with only a few more pounds can handle the weather a bit better.  So, you see, "curvier" is better!

Here is a photograph taken about noon today.  You can see the heavy shadows.  Also, take note who is trying to desperately to get out of the snow in the lower part of the photo!

    Take care!

  • Brrrrrrrr........ what happened?

    Hollar Gang!

Frankly, I just can't believe how cold it is today.  17 degrees!  Wasn't it warm a few weeks ago?   Things have been getting beyond "normal" busy for the end of February and the first week of March.  We did a wonderful fundraiser at the Makefield Elementary School (Pennsbury School District) and had a wonderful turn out!  This was my first experience with this school and I have to say that it all boils down to the support team at that school.  Totally awesome organization!  The PTO was so helpful and promoted this fundraiser in the peak of winter.

Last night I did "Career Night" at Pennsbury High School (my alma mater).  It was great of course to see people from the community give their time to enlighten youngsters about their  possible career choices. I am also signed up for Council Rock's career night in two weeks.  Love, love, love to talk to the students.

I have also been doing some bridal marketing through Open Aire Affairs.  They have wonderful locations for an event such as a wedding or large party.  The bridal shows are every two weeks so if you are interested in an open aire event, drop in.  I will be at the Pearl Buck Estate in Doyestown on March 22, 2007 for another open house.  Stop by and see this great estate.  http://www.openaireaffairs.com/openhouse.htm

Ladies:  I have found this cool handbag and I am most definitely getting one.  Check out this website:  http://www.butlerbag.com/features.html  If you saw the inside of my car right now, you would clearly understand.

We think we have the name for our internet newsletter nailed down.  However, I won't let you all know until it is set in stone.

I will be in touch very soon, so stop back and check the blog.  I have a Bar Mitzvah and a wedding this weekend, so probably early next week I will drop a line.

If you haven't received the February's newsletter via email, it is because we do not have your email address.  Please drop us a line with your current email address at:  Lerephoto@comcast.net

    Stay well and warm!

  • E-Newsletter is finally here!

    Happy Valentines Day!

We are proud to announce our E-Newsletter!  Trying to save a tree (or two), we have caved into the demand to send out our newsletters through the web! This will not replace those who do not have email.
Will it replace the "blog"?  Absolutely not!  The newsletter will announce specials a little later then the blog.  (Thus it is best to subscribe to the blog and get the juicy gossip sooner!)
Take care and if you did not get a copy of the E-Newsletter today, drop us a line at:
    dblere.dblere@hpbizmail.com.

We are also running a great contest for a nifty name for our E-Newsletter!  If you name is chosen, you will receive a portrait session as well as a 3 image panel in a frame!  This is a $300 value!  So, we think it is worth dropping us a line with your great ideas!  We are hoping you can incorporate something that has to do with either my name, or something that has to do with photography!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Okay, enough is enough!

    Old man winter..... go away!

    web-high-res

I know I am crazy for posting a summer photograph!  But I figure we all need a bit of color right now!    Valentine's Day is right around the corner and guess what?  Cupid is calling!

Cards, flowers, candy?  Hmmmmm..... How bout a gift certificate to get your loved one's photograph taken at my studio?  Sound better than a paper card and a dinner?  The flower above was taken from my garden this past summer.  Sometimes you don't realize how beautiful something is until it is gone.  Only blooming for a short time, I grabbed a shot of this and knew that this winter I would go through my archives for something that would brighten my day.  What brightens your day?  Or should I say, who brightens your day?  Why do you have to wait for a holiday to show it?

Live for today.  Life is so very short.  Make the call.

  • Sadly......

     It was a great run......

It was a sad day for my family and I yesterday.  We had to put our beloved family dog "AJ" down after 14 years of nothing but the perfect behavior in an animal.  She was purchased when my son Jason was seven years old after many years of asking for a pet. Every day for the past 14 years she went outside and carried the paper down from the driveway for a treat.  That was her official job other than warming us with her big brown eyes. Her hips were gone as well as her bladder and hearing.  I had my husband Dan deal with the kind vet because I couldn't handle it.  She came to the house which was excellent.  I had to leave because emotions were way to hard for me.  Before I did though, I bent down and extended my hand out to her and she gave me her familiar "paw" shake that has thrilled us for years.  She didn't forget and neither will I.

I am sure we will meet again and she will greet me with the local paper as she has done for years and I will give her a morning biscuit.  Is there a better way to begin the day?

    5x7 aj web

AJ ("A" for Ashley and "J" for Jason)  This photograph was taken one hour before the vet came.
